Mercedes has a particularly interesting dressage pedigree, bringing together several proven Grand Prix lines. Her sire DSP Marc Cain is a son of Millennium out of a Don Primero dam. Marc Cain was runner-up in the Bundeschampionat for three-year-old stallions, scoring 9s for conformation, trot and canter, and later went on to compete at international Grand Prix level himself.

On the mother’s side, too, the sporting heritage is clear. Mother Edelweiss de Chambourg is a daughter of Escolar, which was itself successfully released in the Grand Prix and, in addition, went on to become one of Germany’s leading dressage sires. Escolar is a son of the Grand Prix stallion Estobar NRW.

What’s more, through Marc Cain, Millennium and Don Primero can be traced back through the pedigree, whilst the dam line is once again firmly rooted in dressage via Escolar and De Kooning. Mercedes therefore has a pedigree in which modern movement, rideability and proven sporting ability have been established across several generations.
