The child, who was only seven years old Olympius has already built up an impressive sporting career. He now competes in the ZZ-Zwaar (advanced) class and took part in the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden.

Even as a five-year-old, Olympius was already showing his quality. During an international competition in Mexico City in May 2024, he achieved an excellent score of 78,200% in the class for five-year-old dressage horses. His international competition experience, his participation in the World Championships and his current performances at ZZ-Zwaar level highlight his rapid development as a sport horse.

His pedigree, too, has been built up generation by generation from proven international dressage bloodlines. His sire Zenon VDL was successfully competed up to Small Tour level. Zenon is the son of GLOCK’s Zonik N.O.P., who, under Edward Gal, was among the very best in the world for many years and represented the Netherlands at international championships.

Zonik, in turn, is the son of Blue Hors Zack, who competed at international Grand Prix level and went on to become one of the most influential dressage sires of his generation.

Zenon VDL’s dam line is also particularly strong. His dam Anna Frank VDL has the predicates preferential, performance and star and is a daughter of the legendary Blue Hors Don Schufro. Don Schufro himself enjoyed success in the
