Information

Optimium stands out for his rapid progress in sport. At just seven years of age, he has already worked his way up to ZZ – Advanced level and shows every sign of being cut out for the big time.

His Sire Desperado N.O.P. Under Emmelie Scholtens, it was among the Dutch Grand Prix elite for many years. The pair enjoyed numerous international successes and went on to Dutch National champion and represented the Netherlands at various major international championships.

Desperado is a son of Vivaldi, one of the most influential dressage sires of his generation. Vivaldi himself enjoyed success in the Small Tour and has sired an impressive line-up of international Grand Prix horses and approved stallions.

Vivaldi is also a direct descendant on his dam’s side. Optimium’s dam Whitney is a daughter of Vivaldi, meaning that this influential dressage line is firmly established on both sides of his pedigree.

Furthermore, through Desperado, the bloodline of the Grand Prix stallion Havidoff added, whilst Vivaldi via Krack C is rooted in a proven track record in international Grand Prix racing.

With his own achievements in the ZZ-Zwaar at the age of just seven and the combination Desperado × Vivaldi Optimium combines a striking sporting pedigree with a lineage firmly rooted in proven international dressage genetics.
